Kids vs. Cops -- 11th Annual Game and Gala (Picnic) scheduled for Sunday, May 21, 2006 - 9:30 AM. Come out to the Suttons Lane Baseball Park and enjoy our annual festival of fun and sportsmanship as the Edison Police Dept. PBA challenge the Buddy Ball kids to a "duel on the diamond." This annual Kids vs. Cops event is our only fund raiser this year. Please come and have fun. We value your support. Tee shirts will be available for purchase as well as a 50/50 tickets and door prizes. All you can eat and drink for $5.00 per person. Players and buddies(must wear up to date buddy Shirt) are free. Game starts at 9:30 AM; Picnic starts at about 11:00 AM
NOTE: CHANGE OF TIME -- End-Of- Season Soccer party scheduled at The Elks Lodge on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 19, 2005 -- 11.30 AM to 1:00 PM. Our Traditional end-of-season soccer party will be held at The Elks Lodge, 375 Old Post Road, Edison. . Bowling starts Wednesday, June 29, 2005; 6:00 PM -- Brunswick Edison Lanes on Oak Tree Road Summer bowling is starting on June 29, 2005 and will continue every Wednesday evening until August 10, 2005. Choose to bowl with or without bumpers. HOW DO I KNOW IF THE BUDDY BALL GAME IS GOING TO BE PLAYED? -- Phone 732-549-4701 Unscheduled events happen; sometimes we have to cancel a game. Last week it was the impending blizzard. Other times it has been failure of electric service in the Stelton building, rain or wet fields for outdoor games, etc. We have a simple way to keep everyone informed. The phone message on 732-549-4701 will be updated with the status of this week's game. If the situation is uncertain, we might even change the message as game time approaches. Don't leave home without checking the Buddy Ball phone message. (Note: this machine can only broadcast messages. You cannot leave messages on this machine.) BUDDY BALL BASKETBALL GETTING READY AGAIN TO START OFF 2005 After last weeks blizzard, we are prepared to start the Basketball season on Saturday afternoon, January 29, 2005 at the Stelton Community Center. January 11, 2005 BUDDY BALL MOURNS THE LOSS OF TOM ASHE On Sunday, January 9, 2005, our friend,
Tom Ashe, was stricken with a heart attack while running a marathon
in Central Park, New York City. Ellis Motin, President of Buddy Ball
of Edison, stated, "Tom was instrumental in helping Buddy Ball."
He is remembered as an active supporter of Buddy Ball within the Elks
and as an enthusiastic and gracious participant in events both at the
